Qibao is a piece of an old Shanghai Watertown that has been preserved for the enjoyment of tourists and visitors. It's a simple metro trip out to Minhang. When you exitt the metro, look for exit one and turn right and walk for a block and turn right again. I turned left, unfortunately, but luckily, I turned left again and continued walking, hoping to find something that would point me to Qibao. Unfortunately, nothing did, but I did find an entry to what looked like a shopping area. So I headed into the area and kept walking until I found I had made the right choice.
Here's the entrance to the Watertown of Qibao.
Once inside, the passageways are really little alleys crowded with people looking to buy at a multitude of little shops.
Qibao, the town, consists of just a couple of streets, but my eye caught this sign, and I decided immediately to forsake the crowds and to look for the temple, which was a small challenge, since the signage was a little sporadic.

and this jolly Buddha.
The temple grounds needed work, the pond was dry, and needed repairs, but other parts of the grounds exuded a peacefulness one would expect to find.
Walking back, I took the photo (below) of one of the alleys down which the locals walked to their homes. It's such a contrast to what we see in public below.
